Project 2

Module 2

In module 2 the focus is working on audio and code, and how the two can be related. It's important to separate sounds from their source and consider how they could be used an abstract visual. While working through this project, I'll be collecting sounds and then testing p5 sounds with various coded visuals.

Final Project 2 Design

P5 Interactive Audio Web Header Portfolio

For the final project I used three main source components to build a visual that has a flow field that responds to frequency. I used the general change in frequency code from Tutorial 1, as well as the start and stop button. The changing frequency and volume sliders came from Tutorial 2 code. I also referenced a video from Colorful Code that has a tutorial on making a flow field. The flow field is a blue and yellow ombré that responds directly to the frequency, however the volume remains unaffected. If at a lower frequency, the flow is more spread out and slowed down, at a higher frequency the flow is tighter together and faster.
